This Privacy Policy (hereinafter "this Policy") describes the Company's approach to handling privacy information. By using our services, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.
What is Privacy Information?
Privacy information refers to both "Personal Information" and "History and Characteristic Information."
"Personal Information" refers to information about living individuals as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, including name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact details, and other descriptions that can identify a specific individual.
"History and Characteristic Information" refers to information other than Personal Information, such as services used, transaction data, page and advertisement browsing history, search keywords, usage date and time, usage method, usage environment, postal code, gender, occupation, age, IP address, cookie information, location data, and device identifiers.
How Do We Collect Privacy Information?
The Company may collect Personal Information when users register or use our services, and History and Characteristic Information when users use our services or browse pages.
When users configure integration with external services, we may also collect from those external services the user IDs and other information that users have authorized to share under the external service's privacy settings.
For What Purposes is Privacy Information Used?
The Company collects and uses privacy information for the following purposes:
- a) Accepting registrations and applications for our products/services, identity verification, and user authentication
- b) Proposing and providing our products and services
- c) Providing information about events the Company participates in
- d) Assessing suitability, providing, and managing ongoing transactions related to our products/services
- e) Business communication and customer support
- f) Responding to customer inquiries and feedback
- g) Creating statistical data in a form that does not identify individuals
- h) Delivering or displaying advertisements by the Company or third parties
- i) Use for marketing purposes
- j) Exercising rights and fulfilling obligations under contracts and laws
- k) Purposes incidental to the above
Is Privacy Information Shared with Third Parties?
Except in the cases listed below, the Company will not provide privacy information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the user (except as permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws):
- a) When required by law
- b) When necessary to protect life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain consent
- c) When particularly necessary for public health or sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain consent
- d) When cooperation with government agencies is necessary and obtaining consent would impede such operations
Providing privacy information in connection with business succession due to merger or other reasons, or when outsourcing handling within the necessary scope, does not constitute third-party provision.
Joint Use of Privacy Information
The Company conducts business involving cross-border business processes, organizational structures, and technical systems. Within the scope of the purposes stated above, we may jointly use customers' personal data among our group companies. We will implement equivalent management systems across all group companies and strive for strict oversight.
Can I Access or Request Correction of My Privacy Information?
When requested by an individual to disclose their Personal Information, the Company will disclose it without delay. However, disclosure may be withheld in whole or in part if disclosure could harm the rights of the individual or third parties, significantly impede our business operations, or violate laws.
A fee of ¥1,000 per case applies for disclosure of personal information.
Users may also request correction or deletion of their personal information if it is inaccurate. The Company will make corrections or deletions without delay when deemed necessary.
Can I Request Suspension of Use of My Privacy Information?
If requested by an individual to suspend or delete their privacy information on grounds that it is being used beyond the stated purposes or was obtained by improper means, the Company will promptly investigate and, based on the results, suspend or delete the information and notify the individual.
If suspension is impractical due to high cost or other reasons, alternative measures to protect the individual's rights may be taken instead.
Security Measures for Personal Information
The Company strives to keep personal data accurate and up to date. We implement appropriate measures to prevent loss, leakage, or damage of personal data and review these measures as necessary.
Changes to Privacy Policy
The content of this Policy may be changed without prior notice to users.
Unless otherwise specified by the Company, changes to this Privacy Policy take effect when posted on this website.
